Hi, my name is Nicky Cascarano, and this is the story of my 1990 Mustang G.T.

When purchased, the car had 52,000 miles, and had been partly modified, the interior was out of a 1993 car, and was like new, the body and paint were spotless also, so it was a great find so I jumped at the chance to get the car.  This was the car that I had fallen in love with as a teenager, this was the muscle car of my time, I had told my former girlfriend for years that one day I will have that car, well she is long gone, but the car is my baby now..  I was raised around cars and racing, my Uncle Doug says I teethed on brake pads, and my bottle was filled with racing fuel, I spent my childhood at the dragstrip, then my Father and uncles got out of racing, The original Nicky's Toy was a awesome car for its time.  The car ran 9.80 off motor and in the 80s that was going fast, I loved that car, and my Uncle Doug's 64 Chevelle Family Affair.  But the glory and fun came to a end in the early 80s. I never gave up, as a teenager, I would drive to the dragstrip alone on Friday nights and watch the racing alone, then I was fortunate to have a girlfriend who loved racing and cars, so I was able to take her on dates to the track, and it was during these trips to the track I would tell her as the cars would roar past, that will be me soon, I will have my Mustang and I will be racing here one day, and she told me ( I know you will ).  Well she was not around to see me make my first run down the track at Union Grove as I had dreamed of, but I did it..  Nicky's Toy is a work in progress, with the modifications as of last year, the car was able to run a best time of 12.47 at 108 mph, the car has many bugs to work out , it needs a new computer upgrade and a custom program to be burnt for the set up on the car, other plans are for deeper gears and a custom clutch, the car had a Centerforce dual friction in it but it could not handle the horsepower to the slicks and was blown apart at U.S. 41 Raceway last season.

I am so lucky to have my Uncle Doug, and other family and friends like Ken, who help me with their knowledge of race cars, everyone has a area of expertise.  I am very lucky to have these people around me.  I recently spent some time with Uncle Doug talking at the World Drag Expo, and I told him that I have big plans for my future in racing, I really want to take this to a new level, I want to build a car that will be able to run the circuit and run in the 8 or 9 sec. range I told him that racing is a passion, and that I give my word that I will take it as far as I can.  I am so happy that when I was able to get the new Nicky's Toy, and show everyone in the family that I meant business, that I was able to light up the fire inside of everyone to get up and get their cars back together, and to get racing again, I had a tear in my eye on my fist run down the track, it was very special to me, and it is really special for me to see the happiness in Uncle Doug with getting his car back together, and for uncle Greg getting out to the track with his Olds, to have us all together helping one another at the track, it really is something, and I thank God for giving me this chance, and I promise to race my heart out, and thanks to my father Nick Cascarano Sr, for making this happen......
